Description: At the conclusion of this symposium, participants will be able to:
Develop an understanding of the pathophysiology underlying HZ and PHN
Discuss strategies for improving diagnosis of HZ
Identify patients at greatest risk for HZ
Review available treatments for HZ and PHN and their limitations
Discuss how new vaccine will shift the paradigm from treatment to prevention
