Description: At the conclusion of this symposium, participants will be able to: Describe the new definition of hypertension by targeting all coexisting risk factors in their practice not just BP and cholesterol Realize that all risk factors for CVD are modifiable through the use of optimal pharmacologic treatment and lifestyle changes Combat non-adherence by utilizing successful therapeutic strategies for empowering the patient Recognize that obstacles and challenges to the optimal management of CV risk can be overcome with current guidelines and clearly defined treatment goals
