Providing quality end-of life care is all too often difficult in the face of medical-legal, ethical issues and balancing patient and family wishes. There is a growing body of literature regarding the challenges healthcare providers face in providing end-of-life care... This lecture will present an evidence based paradigm for providing end of life care in addition to a model for how to facilitate the shared decision making regarding end-of-life care issues.
