Description: At the conclusion of this presentation, participants will be able to:
List the classifications of seizures
Discuss medications utilized to treat seizures
Describe the indications for surgical intervention and a brief explanation of the techniques

Seizures are treated in a multitude of specialties. Patients are seen in primary care offices, emergency rooms and in neurologist practice. At the completion of the presentation the participants will have an understanding or the classifications of seizures, how they are treated medically, and the indications for surgical intervention. There will be a brief explanation of the surgical techniques utilized to treat seizures.
