Differentiate etiologies in the workup of pathological Short Stature
Explain the role of growth hormone therapy

Short Stature in the pediatric and adolescent patient can occur as a normal variation of the growth pattern as seen in Familial Short Stature or Constitutional Delay of Growth. A missed or delayed diagnosis of pathological short stature can have a profound impact on final adult height. Timely diagnosis and treatment of the underlying etiology, prior to puberty, can result in patients more closely attaining their predicted adult height.
