Description: At the conclusion of this presentation, participants will be able to:
describe the clinical uses and efficacy of antidepressants in children and adolescents
describe the clinical uses and efficacy of antipsychotics in children and adolescents
discuss what is known about the safety of antidepressants and antipsychotics in children and adolescents
outline an appropriate plan for monitoring antidepressant or antipsychotic therapy for efficacy and safety in children and adolescents

This session will include a discussion of how antidepressants and antipsychotics are currently being used in children and adolescents. Information on both safety and efficacy will be presented. Monitoring parameters to ensure safe and effective therapy will be presented.
