Description: At the conclusion of this presentation, participants will be able to: Discuss the pathophysiology associated with acne and rosacea Recognize the inflammatory and non-inflammatory skin lesions associated with acne vulgaris and rosacea Differentiate acne and rosacea from other common and uncommon dermatoses (perioral dermatitis, folliculitis, lupus, etc.) Apply the concept of acne “grading” and rosacea “subtypes” to formulate appropriate treatment strategies Explain appropriate treatment choices for patients with acne and rosacea, to include topical agents, oral medications, and basic skin care principles
