Description: At the conclusion of this presentation, participants will be able to:
Describe the types of patients who might benefit from compounded drug formulations
Describe the compounding pharmacists role in working together with patients and practitioners for providing individualized medication solutions
Describe the training of a compounding pharmacist and how to select a reputable pharmacy for your compounding needs

Compounding allows a practitioner to prescribe and a pharmacist to prepare a customized medication or to place an available medication in a different dosage form to meet a specific patient need and improve compliance.
